Sizing Information

What is my US size?
Merrell is an American brand so we primarily show US sizing. We recommend purchasing your regular US size.
To help you determine your US size, check the size tag under the tongue of your current pair of shoes. Most shoes sold in Australia are from American brands and therefore are likely to show the US size listed together with the equivalent UK and EU sizes.
Handy tip: If your current pair of shoes state the CM/centimeter size, we recommend getting the same CM size equivalent in Merrell's. This is because US, UK and EU sizing can differ between brands, but the length of the innersole will always be the same. You can find the CM sizing on our size guides.
If you have any concerns about fit, feel free to reach out to our Merrell experts who can help you chose the right size. Call us on 1300 131 766 or click the 'Contact Us' below.

What is your mens size guide?
Merrell is an American based brand, therefore we primarily use US sizing. US sizing is equivalent to AU sizing.
We recommend referring to the US sizes when making a purchase. E.g. A men's AU 9 is the same as a men's US 9.
You can view our full-size guides by clicking on "Size Guide" when viewing the item.
See our full size guides below.
Good to know: Half sizes will affect the length of the shoe, rather than the width. For example a men's US 9 is 0.5cm longer than a US 8.5. The width will increase slightly, in proportion to the length.
Please note that these are guides only. The cm length is the length of the innersole, we advise allowing an extra 1cm for when calculating your size.

How can I lace my hiking shoes to suit me?
Whether you’re going for a casual hike, bushwalking through a national park or taking on a mountain, there are different ways to lace your hiking boots to optimise their performance and comfort.
Reducing top of foot pressure
If you have a high instep or simply pain across the top of your foot then this is the one for you.
- This technique can also be beneficial for long descents, where we aggressively flex our foot inside the boot.
- It is important to note that the ‘window’ can be moved one eyelet down if your foot pressure tends to be lower.
Parallel Lacing
This is an alternative to the first technique as it removes pressure from the top of your foot – something that can occur when breaking in new shoes.
Heel lock technique
This technique is ideal if you’re prone to heel slip, blisters or you simply need extra support when hiking up or down hills, when the heel can be subjected to high forces. However, it does mean that your shoes will be a bit trickier to take off, as you need to properly loosen the laces.
